Fire danger continues

by Sue Deyoe ~ May 22nd, 2009

A suspension of open burning permits continues today as the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for high fire danger in the Valley.

Fire Danger continues to be very high.  The suspension of open burning includes the use of burn barrels.

Residents are urged to be cautious.  The division of forestry is discouraging the use of campfires, which are NOT under the burn ban.

The Division of Forestry is asking residents for help this Memorial Day weekend by remaining viligiant and guarding against out of control wildfires.
