Even though the weather was cool, cloudy and slightly damp, over 40 children and adults turned out to participate in the second annual Talkeetna Lakes Park fun run and walk on Saturday.

Jared Schucha (pronounced shoe-ka) has taken the spot of Gayne Turner who retired last year after over 20 years of service.  He’s new to Talkeetna and talks about his vision.

Associated Press reports that a pilot killed in a plane crash in Callaway County, Missouri, on Tuesday the 22nd, was identified as 31 year old Jared Hobaugh, part time resident of Talkeetna. (more…)
