The flooding along Willow Creek near Hatcher Pass Road is continuing to concern Mat Su Borough emergency service managers.

The saga of the Su Valley hockey team theft continues.  The hockey team from Delta, feeling embarrassed and saddened by the theft and vandalism that occurred the weekend of November 14th, held a skate-a-thon to raise all the cash needed to replace Su Valley’s equipment.  (more…)

Unregistered dog kennel leads to rescue effort Saturday

A family suffering severe frostbite led to a late night rescue Tuesday and an effort by Borough Animal Care on Saturday to rescue 6 dogs and newborn puppies near Moose Meadows.  Diana Haecker reports its as close to a happy ending as can be expected in the situation.

Memorial unveiled for health provider Stevens

A long overdue memorial was unveiled at the Sunshine Community Health Clinic on Sunday.  Friends and collegues gathered at the health center to remember Jessica Stevens, PA, and to applaud the permanent reminder of her dedication to the health and well being of those in the Upper Valley and around the world.
