Marsh recognized by Borough Mayor

by Sue Deyoe ~ November 11th, 2009

The Mat Su Borough Assembly and Mayor Talis Colberg recognized Rodney Norwood Marsh posthumously Tuesday night at the Borough Assembly meeting.

Mayor Colberg issued a proclamation thanking Marsh for his many years of service on the Trapper Creek Community Council, the Talkeetna Historical Society Board of Directors, for work on the Trapper Comprehensive Plan and the Borough Historical Preservation Commission, as well as all the other boards and commissions Marsh sat on over the years. Colberg thanked Marsh’s family for allowing him to give so much time to Borough and state issues.

Marsh died quietly, but unexpectedly, on October 5 at his home in Trapper Creek. He was a dedicated, civic-minded man who gave much of his time to serving on area boards and councils over his 39 years living in the Upper Valley.
