Su Valley volleyball shut down by ASAA

In a heartbreaking decision, the Su Valley Rams were unable to play the Tri Valley team.  Just hours before the volleyball game, they were told they were playing in the wrong season.

Food bank trying to feed record amount this holiday

The Sunshine and Trapper Creek Food Banks are looking at a record amount of Thanksgiving baskets this year.  As poverty numbers in the U.S. soar, the Upper Valley seems to be no different. The Food Bank is now in an almost desperate situation looking for the 3 dozen extra hams/turkeys needed to feed those in need.

Troxel announces retirement

Mat Su District Superintendent George Troxel has announced his retirement to the Mat Su school board. He distributed a letter in preparation for this week’s board meeting Wednesday evening at Palmer High School. He plans on retiring at the end of the school year. (more…)
