The Sunshine Community Health Center is cutting back on operating times. Two medical providers left the clinic last month, forcing management to scale back on opening hours.

The DOT reconstructs the Parks Highway from Willow Creek to Kashwitna and plans to resurface the road from mile 83 to mile 90. Talkeetna and Willow Fire Departments, Talkeetna EMS and Trapper Creek EMS all responded to a house fire on Sunshine Road late Wednesday night. Residents for miles around reported hearing sirens and some saw flames shooting high in the sky. The response crews, including Troopers, were on the scene until well after 4:00 in the morning.
