Sport fishers will be allowed to use bait again on the lower portion of the Deshka River beginning tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.
This order rescinds the bait restriction from 2 weeks ago. The area where bait will be allowed in the Deshka is from its mouth upstream, to the ADF&G marker near Chijuk Creek, and all of the waters of the Su River within a half-mile of the Deshka confluence.
The Department of Fish and Game is projecting the escapement goal will be met if the king run continues as it has the past week.
Alaska Department of Fish and Game advises all anglers to review 2010 sportfishing regulations before fishing.
