Ice causes hazardous driving conditions in lower valley

A winter weather storm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Matanuska and Susitna Valleys.  Ice on roadways is causing difficult driving conditions and DOT has issued an alert for the Glenn Highway interchange. Driving is not recommended in that area.  The storm warning currently expires Tuesday afternoon. Freezing rain is expected today and  tomorrow and may be heavy at times.
