Drinking Water is being tested

Residents in Talkeetna are being advised not to drink the water from the public system until it has been tested. Department of Public Works personnel have been monitoring the system through the night and they don’t believe the system has been compromised. Final word on whether the water is safe to drink will be available once the confirmation tests are completed Saturday. The best option is to drink bottled water until those tests can confirm the water is safe.
