Willow Resident Calls Troopers, Then Rams Them

by Phillip Manning ~ December 30th, 2013

A few minutes after midnight on Christmas Day, Alaska State Troopers received a call that ended in a Trooper vehicle being rammed in Willow.

According to Troopers, Dona Carnahan of Willow called 911 claiming that someone had taken another female from her residence.  Troopers responded and tried to contact Carnahan, who got into a vehicle and drove away.  The responding Trooper attempted to make a traffic stop.  Carnahan led the Trooper for two miles before spinning her vehicle at an intersection and ramming the Trooper vehicle.  The Trooper was unhurt, and Carnahan received minor injuries.  Troopers found that Carnahan was under the influence of alcohol, and discovered a shotgun in her vehicle.  She was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility on charges of Assaulting a Police Officer, Eluding, Chriminal Mishchief, DUI, and Misconduct Involving a Weapon.
