Living in the woods in Talkeetna is generally uneventful. The weather is fairly tame, there are no bodies of water that could suddenly turn tempestuous, there are no blizzards or avalanches, and not many wildlife sightings.

Wow! That’s some story, girl! Talk about a close call! The “bear gods” must have been blowing the winds in your favor! That bear must have been hot on the scent of the moose and somehow missed your scent entirely. Amazing. Thank the bear gods you’re here to tell us about it, and I promise not to tell your parents.
