Writer’s Voice–The Trapper Creek AMC Eagle, by Peter Mathiesen

by KTNA Staff ~ June 1st, 2014

Talkeetna resident Peter Mathiesen reads a chapter from his book Tales of the Alaska State Troopers, to be published this fall.  This is the story of the unfolding events that happened during the twelve hours after Dan Valentine, a wildlife trooper, got a call from a guy called Gator, about some explosives in the back of a junk AMC Eagle.  Trapper Creek residents will remember this night…

I have heard 3 or 4 of the stories read on the ‘Writer’s Voice’. By far this story was the most entertaining and Peter did a spectacular job of reading his story. Peter, you have set a high bar for other authors to be judged by. Congratulations.

How many years did Peter serve as an Alaska State Trooper? What motivated him to become a Trooper?

When will the book be published?

Great job, Peter! Looking forward to when the book is published later this year!
