Local Talkeetna skier, Taz Mannix, turned in a top performance at the Sven Johansson ski race this weekend.
Mannix and Brent Knight,of Anchorage, won the women’s and men’s 30 K race on Sunday. Mannix topped the second fastest woman by almost two minutes and competed in a field of 31 women. Knight topped a field of 136 men, many of whom have been past Oosik competitors.
The race is also known as the Tour of Kincaid and is part of the Anchorage Cup races.
