Moderate Earthquake is Felt in Talkeetna

The Upper Valley was shaken Tuesday afternoon by an earthquake near Denali National Park.  The Alaska Earthquake Information Center reports that a moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 struck at 1:41 pm.  The epicenter was twenty-four miles South-southeast of Kantishna, and was felt at least as far away as Talkeetna.  No damage was reported in the release from the Earthquake Information Center.
