An Earthquake centered in the Cook Inlet near the Mouth of the Susitna River reverberated all the way up the Northern Susitna Valley on Monday Night. Floors and walls were rumbling after the 5.9 magnitude quake – which triggered 18 miles north-east of Beluga, and 30 miles west of Anchorage – sent shockwaves over 300 miles of South Central Alaska at around 4:45 pm.

No reports of damages in the Northern Susitna Valley have been reported, although some dogs were driven to fits of barking and whining.
