DESCRIPTION:Strong Women exercise group meet at 10 am at the Talkeetna Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A Zoom option is available. This program is aimed at improving strength\, balance and flexibility for women over 40 years old. Newcomers are always welcome\, weights and instructions are provided. DESCRIPTION:Denali Arts Council presents a screening of the film 76 Days Adrift on Saturday\, January 3rd\, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. From Executive Producer Ang Lee\, 76 Days Adrift documents the experience of Steven Callahan\, author of Adrift: 76 Days Lost at Sea. He recounts the night of February 4th\, 1982\, when a collision with a whale caused his boat to sink in the Atlantic Ocean. Callahan survived for 76 days in a life raft with limited supplies. The film is directed by Joe Wein\, with music by Patrick Stump. Doors open at 6:30 pm\, and the film begins at 7pm. Tickets are available at denaliartscouncil.org.

DESCRIPTION:Due to extreme cold temperatures\, the Alaska Railroad will NOT be running the normally scheduled Aurora Winter Train this weekend. To accommodate residents who use the Flag Stop Railroad\, they will run an additional Hurricane Turn Train on Saturday\, January 3rd at its normally scheduled time\, northbound from Talkeetna at 11:25am.
