DESCRIPTION:The DEA National Drug Take-Back Day is on Saturday\, April 25th. There are two drop off locations available in the Susitna Valley from 10am to 2pm – at the Wasilla and Palmer Fred Meyers. All are welcome to drop off unused or expired medications in original packaging or a generic bag\, without your personal information. Liquid products\, such as cough syrup\, should remain tightly sealed in the original container. Syringes and medical waste cannot be accepted. Turning in unused medications reduces prescription drug abuse and accidental poisoning\, and protects local waterways and the environment. SUMMARY:Emergency Preparedness Fair - CERT
DESCRIPTION:The Willow\, Talkeetna and Trapper Creek CERT host the 5th Biennial Su Valley Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Willow Community Center from 11am until 2pm on Saturday\, May 30th\, with education about preparedness for earthquakes\, wildfires\, floods\, CPR\, first aid\, and backcountry safety. There will be indoor and outdoor exhibits with family activities for all ages\, including live demonstrations\, an earthquake escape room\, door prizes and vendors.
