Talkeetna’s Roger Robinson will recount his 1975 climb of Denali’s remote South Buttress—a journey that launched his 45-year career in the Alaska Range. The talk includes rare photos and audio from the original 1954 ascent and rescue and Denali’s first helicopter evacuation. There will be door prizes and donations are welcome at the door.

DESCRIPTION:The Talkeetna Public Library’s Summer Reading Program activities are on Thursdays at 11 am. This week Alaska WildBird Rehabilitation is giving two presentations\, the first is at 11am and the second is at 1pm. Lunch on the Lawn\, is provided by the Upper Susitna Food Pantry from noon to 12:45pm\, followed by distribution of weekly food backpacks for ages 0 to 18. All ages are welcome to attend. \nOpen hours are Monday through Saturday 11am to 6pm  For more information\, you may call the library at 907-861-7645 and visit their Facebook Page.
