DESCRIPTION:The Susitna River Coalition is hosting its 8th annual Wild Su Feast and Annual Meeting on October 13th from 5 pm to 8 pm at Denali Brewing Company\, Mile 2 of the Talkeetna Spur Road. This community potluck celebrates the locally harvested foods that walked\, swam\, grew\, and flew through the Susitna Watershed and the communities that rely on and enjoy them. A 2024 Wild Su Feast cookbook will be created from the dishes\, and everyone attending will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dish. All are invited to enjoy the feast\, sponsor\, or volunteer to help celebrate the local harvests and support this community event. DESCRIPTION:A 300 mile sled dog race to the Upper Susitna Valley. The Su Dog 300 is a non-profit 501c3 organization. All entry fees will go towards purchasing race materials (flagging\, stakes\, straw\, support items for volunteers)\, reimbursing fuel for trail crews\, and purchasing gift cards and prizes for the Closing Ceremonies. The Su Dog 300 is an Iditarod qualifier. \nThe start of the Inaugural Su Dog 300 is scheduled for Saturday\, January 25th\, 2025 At 2pm in Willow.
