The Permanent Fund Dividend is being deposited in bank accounts this week. This also means that hundreds of Alaska non-profit organizations see a PFD boost through the Pick-Click-and-Give program. Some of this money is also coming to the Upper Valley. In Talkeetna, donors gave parts of their PFD to four non-profits. The Denali Arts Council is slated to receive almost $3,000\. The Jessica Stevens Community Foundation will receive $2,275 ; the Sunshine Community Health Center is getting $1,400 dollars and Talkeetna Community Radio will see $1,381.

This is the second year that the PFD division offered the option to donate parts of one’s PFD to a nonprofit in Alaska. Compared to last year, all of Talkeetna’s participating charitable organizations saw a rise in donations through the Pick-Click-and-Give program.
