- Description: Missed a favorite show? The KTNA app’s new archive makes it easier to find a recent broadcast and listen when it works for you. The app update is live, and two dedicated schedule and archive pages will replace the current combined page on our website.

### WHAT’S NEW IN THE APP

• Find a show first. Tap Archive in the bottom navigation, browse the alphabetical show cards, choose a show, select a broadcast date, and play directly in the app. Search is there when you need it. The show list loads automatically, and you can load earlier available broadcasts within a show. You can return to the show list without stopping your recording.

• More control over listening. Pause, resume, restart or seek within a recorded broadcast. Playback and the timeline now end with your selected show rather than continuing into the next program in a longer recording. Live and archive playback hand off more cleanly, with coordinated player controls. You can keep listening while moving between app sections.

• Refreshed navigation and players. The bottom bar now runs Home, News, Programs, Archive, Schedule and Calendar, giving the archive its own direct tab without removing other destinations. The navigation and mini-player have a cleaner, rounded liquid glass-style design, with a matching expanded player. Liquid glass design has also been implemented across the app.

• Your choice of appearance. A compact button beside the Home header lets you choose System, Light or Dark and remembers your preference. The KTNA and On Air header stays at the top. The Home screen has also been simplified, with the weather panel removed.

• Easier browsing. News and Programs have improved page loading and scrolling, with more space above the bottom navigation and player so page controls remain reachable. Clearer loading, error and retry messages help when content or an article does not load.

• Clearer schedules and calendar dates. The app schedule uses Alaska time and identifies what’s on air. Multi-day community events have clearer date labels, and calendar-file exports have corrected Alaska time-zone, daylight-saving and date handling.

• More helpful controls and feedback. Player and page controls have larger touch targets, with keyboard-friendly appearance controls and fallbacks for reduced motion, contrast and transparency preferences. Sharing now gives feedback when it fails. The event-submission window is easier to close, and support pages have refreshed styling while keeping donation and contact links available.

• Less unnecessary work behind the scenes. Simpler animations, improved content caching and playback updates, and loading extra audio support only when needed reduce avoidable processing.

The app archive covers up to the last 14 days of completed broadcasts, with dates and times shown in Alaska time. Recordings are available for a limited time, and some broadcasts may be unavailable. The live stream remains available when you want to hear what’s on KTNA right now.

### NOW LIVE ON THE WEBSITE

We’ve replaced the combined On-Air Schedule & Archive page with two dedicated pages so it’s easier to find and listen to your favorite show, and easier to read the schedule. The old all-in-one layout could be difficult to navigate, so the new design separates finding a show to listen to from checking what’s on the schedule.

Here’s where you’ll go:

Schedule: https://ktna.org/schedule
See what’s on this week, with a clear indication of the current show. Move to previous or next weeks when schedule data is available, or use a day selector on a phone. This page will focus on the schedule, without archive playback controls.

Archive: https://ktna.org/archive
Start with a grid of shows, choose the one you want, then select an available broadcast date and listen. Search will be available too, but you won’t have to begin with it or work out a broadcast’s exact time to find a favorite show.

The difference is a clearer choice: Schedule to see when programs air, Archive to listen again. Instead of combining both in the same embedded calendar and player, the new pages will offer separate layouts styled to match KTNA, with a simpler path from a show’s name to its recording. The website archive will remain a rolling selection of recent broadcasts, depending on the recordings available through Spinitron.

Thanks for listening to KTNA, community radio for the Upper Susitna Valley.
