Parents of children in the Mat Su School District all received an automated call this morning that schools are in “stay put” mode. Troopers are looking for a prisoner that escaped from Mat Su Pre trial early this morning. He is a Caucasian male, 44 years old, balding with red hair, 6’1″ tall and about 220 pounds. They have not released his name or what he is accused of, but Troopers consider him dangerous. Schools have locked their doors, but parents can still come in the school, it just means staff is being extra cautious in order to keep children safe.

The man was last seen wearing his yellow jumpsuit, pink undershirt and gray pants. He has noticeable tattoos on both his arms. If anyone has any information or sees this man, they can call 911.
