DESCRIPTION:Alaska Center for Resource Families is hosting informational sessions about adoption via Zoom. \nBuilding families through adoption aims to prepare potential adoptive parents for the realities and joys of adoption. SUMMARY:Virtual Foster Parent Forum - Resource Family Advisory Board
DESCRIPTION:The Resource Family Advisory Board invites licensed foster parents across Alaska to a virtual Foster Forum on Thursday\, August 7th\, from 12 to 1 pm. Hosted in partnership with the Alaska Center for Resource Families (ACRF) and the Alaska Office of Children’s Services (OCS)\, this one-hour forum will include a welcome and update from the OCS director\, highlighting progress made in response to past family feedback. Agenda topics will include budget updates and augmented rates\, OCS staff recruitment and travel requirements\, and an update on respite care. \nRegional forums will be held in fall/winter 2025 and early 2026\, offering foster families opportunities to connect directly with their local OCS offices and leadership. \nFor more information\, contact the Alaska Center for Resource Families at 800-478-7307.
