How you can participate:  
This project is being reviewed for consistency with the Alaska Coastal Management Program. Your comments on the proposed project’s consistency must be submitted in writing to the Division of Mining, Land and Water (contact information below). Comments about inconsistency must identify the relevant enforceable policy and explain how the project is not consistent with that policy.  
Deadline for written ACMP comments:  
5:00 PM on July 19, 2010

Department of Natural Resources (DNR) authorization – To submit comments, objections or expressions of interest on DNR’s proposed action to issue a Tideland Use Permit, or for more information on the DNR process, contact the Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW). Any comments must be received in writing by 5:00 PM on July 30, 2010\. Please make reference to the Honeybee Lake geothermal project LAS 27689\. DMLW reserves the right to waive technical defects in this publication.

Project Description:  
The project subject to this consistency review is installation of two geothermal heating systems into a private residence that will require the use of adjacent state owned submerged lands. Each system will consist of buried supply and return lines located on the property connected to lake loops sunk to the bottom of the public lake, Honeybee Lake. Each loop will have (6) six coils of ¾” polyethylene tubing, 300 feet long, connected to a header. The purpose of the project is for a private heating source to be used by the applicants.
