The National Weather Service is forecasting continued flooding on the Yentna River, and high water in other Northern Susitna Valley rivers due to rapid snow melt.

On Tuesday, the Alaska-Pacific River Forecast Center re-issued a flood warning for the Yentna River at Lake Creek. The river has been in minor flood stage for most of the past week. Current forecasts predict continued flood conditions through Friday. The forecast says the river may rise another six inches this week.

In addition, high river conditions are expected on the Skwentna and Talkeetna Rivers through the weekend. According to a statement issued on Monday, the Alaska Pacific River Forecast Center says the rivers are expected to run high and fast, and may enter action stage, but no significant impacts are forecasted as of Tuesday afternoon.
