The [South Denali visitor center](http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/sdenali/currentstats.htm?ref=ktna.org) has been in the planning for years. Last year, the state funded the study and construction of the road to the center, located off the George Parks Highway inside the state park. Some Talkeetna residents are worried that the general public still isn’t aware of the [site location change](http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/sdenali/denalihistory.htm?ref=ktna.org) made over a year ago.
