Mat Su School District Superintendent Deena Paramo has selected Mr. Gene Stone as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction. Her position of assistant superintendent was vacated when she was selected as superintendent.

Stone is formerly the principal of Palmer Middle School. He had recently accepted the position of Principal of Career and Technical High School. At that time, Stone had said that he wanted CTHS to become recognized nationally as an exemplary model for career and technical education.
