This week’s story was a tragic tale out of ancient Rome, Dido and Aeneas, derived from Virgil’s Aeneid. When the Trojan Aeneas flees the wreck of Troy, a stop in Carthage and a visit with the queen Dido interrupts and nearly derails his destiny. It is a tale for older kids, and certainly for adults wanting to brush up on their classics.
