Every third Thursday the topic of Su Valley Voice is *Government Check-in*. We hope to hear from area community councils as well as borough and state representatives.

In this episode host Trisha Costello was joined by the following guests:

- Alaska State Senator Mike Shower

Topics discussed ranged from Proposition 2 – Fuel Excise Tax – on the ballot for the November 4 election; the Borough’s Capital Improvement Program rankings that will be presented for initial approval at the Planning Commission’s October 20, 2025 meeting; newly procured federal funding for the State Department of Transportation projects; general discussion on funding for both state and borough governments.

**Election Day Voting on November 4 from 7am – 8pm**

BRING IDENTIFICATION TO THE POLLS You must be prepared to show one form of acceptable identification, which includes: 

● Voter ID Card ● Driver’s License ● State ID Card ● Valid Photo ID Card ● Passport ● Military ID Card ● Birth Certificate ● Hunting or Fishing License 

If you do NOT have identification when voting, you will be asked to vote a questioned ballot.
