The following candidate bios were submitted to the Talkeetna Community Council, then were forwarded to KTNA to inform voters in the council area about who is running.

**Jon Korta**
Hello, My name is Jon Korta and I have had the pleasure of serving as the Chair
of the Talkeetna Community Council for these past two years. Though we have
all faced some really significant challenges during these past two years, primarily
due to the global pandemic and it’s myriad side effects, our community has
proven to be quite resilient and we have been able to work together to overcome
many of those challenges. We are fortunate to have a strong, diverse group of
individuals currently serving on the community council, and I would be honored to
be re-elected to continue working alongside them to help represent our
community to the best of my ability.

**Jodi Rodwell**
I have served as co-chair the past two years on the council, and am excited to
continue to do so. I have learned about issues facing our community and have
enjoyed assisting on committees including the Talkeetna Recycling Works and
Technology Committees. The pandemic threw many challenges our way over the
past two-plus years that we worked through with the input from community
members. I am lucky to live among people who care about their village, natural
surroundings, economy, and each other. I would be honored to be re-elected to
the Council to continue working on issues that help improve the quality of life in
our community.

**Jeffry Hesse**
My name is Jeffry, and I live in East Talkeetna. I’ve served this past year on the
council, and I’d be privileged to continue to do so. I have endeavored to help out
this past year on a myriad of issues, such as a new website for the council, and
assisting where I may be of service on other committees. I’d like to continue
focusing on helping the community out with our technology needs and anything
else that comes our way!

**Pam Young**
My career in conservation took me around the world. A visit to Alaska left me
hoping to move here someday. I fulfilled that dream and I am home, here in Talkeetna.
As a new Talkeetna resident, I am enthralled with the many unique features and
character of our vibrant community. Whether we are serving our robust spring and
summer tourist season or meeting the joys and challenges of a spectacular winter, we
are working together. As your community council member, I look forward to listening to
and working with each Talkeetna resident and championing our needs with the
Matanuska-Susitna Borough.

**Maleia Grabinski**
I am interested in joining the Talkeetna Community Council to work alongside the solid
team of board members and other contributors. My goal is to learn more about my
community and to contribute to its enrichment in a meaningful and productive way.
