# Two missing snowmachiners found

Two snowmachiners that were reported missing yesterday were located today. Russ Bevans, 71 and Dave Luce, 65, both of Willow were reported missing yesterday around 2 pm. The two supposedly set out to check the trail system. Their snowmachines went through the ice. Their survival gear and equipment went into the water with the snowmachines.

The men were able to hike approximately 7 ½ miles to a cabin where they were located by Alaska state Troopers with help from Alaska Rescue Coordination Center. A rescue helicopter transported the men. Luce was in good health and was taken to a nearby lodge. Bevans was transported to Providence for treatment for exposure.
