Heath appointed to Superior Court

Gregory Heath has been appointed by Governor Sarah Palin to replace retiring Superior Court judge Beverly Cutler.

When Cutler announced her retirement, the Alaska Judicial Council collected numerous applications.  Three attorneys were chosen from the list of seven and given to Palin for her consideration.

Heath lives in Palmer and has been a district court judge since 2003. He is from California and received his law degree from Montana.

His new position will open a spot on the district court.  He takes on the role as Superior Court judge in September.
