Tanner issued summons for bear shooting

The Alaska Wildlife Troopers have issued a summons to resident Don Tanner to appear in court on charges of taking a sow accompanied by cubs and the taking of a cub bear.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a call from resident Tanner, who shot a brown bear sow and 3 cubs on July  6th.

Wildlife troopers responded to the residence near Clear Creek.  The report states the sow was shot through the residents’ window.  Two cubs were shot as they attempted to enter the residence.  A third cub was shot as it was standing beside the dead sow.
