Earthquake rattles southcentral Alaska

The Earthquake Information Center reported an earthquake this morning at 10:19. The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.0 and has been changed to 4.97. It was located at a depth of 38 miles.

The quake was centered 31 miles west of Anchorage, 44 miles southwest of Willow and 52 miles southeast of Skwentna. The earthquake center reports the event was widely felt throughout south and south central, including Soldotna, Wasilla, Anchorage, Palmer and Talkeetna. No reports of damage have been received.
