Due to a mechanical problem at our transmitter site, KTNA’s broadcast signal went off the air temporarily on Monday afternoon, August 10. The signal was restored Monday evening at approximately 10pm using a backup transmitter. This backup unit does not have as much power as the station’s primary transmitter, so some listeners may not experience their usual quality of reception. KTNA hopes to repair the primary transmitter by this weekend and restore the signal to full strength.
Staff at KTNA is interested in reports about where in our listening area the reception on 88.9 FM is degraded while using the lower power transmitter.
