True to the theme “Wild, wild west” of a chartered mystery train event, a drunk passenger got rambunctious and had to be taken off the train by troopers in Talkeetna.
On Saturday, October 10, troopers report that 26- year old Joshua Brandon Brown of Wasilla caused a disturbance on the chartered Alaska Railroad train. Brown was drunk and began arguing with the train’s conductor after being asked to quiet down. Brown later urinated off the side of the train and refused to get off of the train once it stopped at the Talkeetna railroad depot. Troopers were called and arrested Brown in Talkeetna. He was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility until he sobered up.
The “Murder on the Train” mystery event was an annual fundraiser for the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce. The event, themed “The Wild, Wild West” took participants from Anchorage via Wasilla to Hurricane Gulch and back.
