The 2009/2010 winter season ended for the Su Valley hockey team in Fairbanks last weekend at the regional tournament. The Tri-Valley hockey team beat Su Valley nine to zero. This ends the Su Valley Rams’ hockey season as the winning teams go on to the state final championships on Friday and Saturday at the Wasilla Sports Complex. Su Valley hockey coach Jack MacDonald summed up his team’s season saying that with five wins, this was the best year they’ve had in three years of playing hockey. A final banquet to wrap up the season is planned for March.
