Mat-Su Borough Animal shelter employees and volunteers are coming up to Talkeetna tomorrow to hold a vaccination clinic. The borough’s veterinarian Katrina Zwolinski will be on hand to vaccinate cats and dogs, implant micropchips and to register animals with the borough.Zwolinski also plans to bring five cats and six dogs for adoption to good homes in Talkeetna.
She said she would be available to answer any questions on what residents can do to cope with the problem of roaming dogs. Just recently, a loose dog was shot in downtown, spurring a discussion on how to curb dog owner’s complacent attitude of letting animals run free.
The animal vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, from 9 am to 6 pm at the Talkeetna Fire Hall.
