A motorcycle accident at mile 64 of the Parks Highway claimed the life of 57-year-old Steven Muckey of Willow on Thursday night.Troopers say that Muckey was traveling northbound on the Parks Highway on his 2005 Harley Davidson. Witnesses riding motorcycles a quarter of a mile behind Muckey reported that he went around a curve and that they discovered him along a wooded area off the road. The motorcycle rolled several times and Muckey was not wearing a helmet. Medics pronounced Muckey dead at the scene.
Troopers are still investigating the accident and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol as well as troopers from the Talkeetna post and Willow paramedics responded.
