BBB takes nominations for awards to outstanding businesses, high school students

The Better Business Bureau is looking for nominations of outstanding businesses in the Alaska, Oregon and Washington area for their Business of the Year torch awards. The deadline to nominate a business is December 1. The BBB Torch award is recognizing businesses that make a difference through business ethics, customer service, innovative business practices and community involvement.

The Better Business Bureau also invites high school students to apply for the BBB Foundation’s “Students of Integrity Scholarship” awards. The foundation gives out a $1,000 scholarship to an Alaskan high school student graduating in 2011 or 2012.
