The Alaska Earthquake Information Center located an earthquake at 8 pm on Saturday. The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.72 and was measured at a depth of 78 miles.
It was located 63 miles northwest of Talkeetna, 88 miles northeast of Skwentna and 25 miles southeast of Kantishna, centered very close to Mt. McKinley.
The event was felt in Anchorage, Willow and Talkeetna and as far away as Girdwood. No reports of the event causing damage were received.
