The Alaska Energy Authority board of directors have selected a new executive director and appointed Sara Fisher-Goad to take the helm.Fisher-Goad has been with the AEA since the year 2000 and has been working as deputy director for operations since 2006.
Fisher-Goad received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Alaska Anchorage.
The Alaska Energy Authority is a public corporation of the state tasked to reduce the cost of energy in Alaska. Since A-E-A is the lead agency in charge of making the proposed Susitna large hydro project happen, the agency is of importance to upper Susitna communities.
