Earthquake rattles upper valley

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center located an earthquake at 5 oclock this morning 32 miles northwest of Talkeetna. The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.4  and was measured at a depth of 48 miles.

The quake was centered 71 miles south of Kantishna and 38 miles north of Skwentna.

The quake was reported felt in Palmer and Talkeetna.  No reports of damage were received.
