Talkeetna Community Council Board elections took place on Tuesday. Voters decided on three seats up for consideration on the Council board of directors. Sitting Council Board Members Cary Birdsall and Rick Schreiber will retain their positions on the council, and will be joined by Ed Craver.
Birdsall received 108 votes, Schrieber received 88 votes, and Craver received 115 votes.
Tuesday’s ballot also included an advisory item asking voters if they supported the Susitna Watana Dam. 109 voters opposed the construction of the Dam, 19 supported the dam, and 7 ballots had no answer.
