Su-Valley had a large ski team of more than 20 skiers this year, but only Morgan Michaels skied at Regionals and State championships, where she had her best races of the season. Regionals were hosted by Sky-View High, and Morgan placed 20th in the 5k stake race with a time of 19.10. and on a very challenging course. In the 7.5 classic race she placed 11th with a time of 30.03.
At All-Schools-Cross-Country-Skiing State Championships, Michaels was the top women’s skier in the Mat-Su borough, beating all other female skiers from the valley. In the 5k skate she placed 46th with a time of 17.37. and in the 7.5 classic she placed 50th with a time of 29.31. Michaels is a Senior this year.
