Chase Trail gets Buff for Summer

Work on the Chase Trail concluded last week, and the result is a graded, well-draining trail that will hopefully last a long time. The Chase Community Council used Community Revenue Share money to bring in 15 side-load rail-cars delivered 100 yards of gravel apiece between Bouillon slough and the Railroad Bridge. New Culverts have been put in and the trail has been graded. With the new gravel, they were able to fill in the puddles and get the trail above the groundwater level, where it had been staying flooded during recent summers.

New informational signs have also gone up along the trail and near the bridge installed, reminding people that the path next to the bridge is used by people accessing their private property, and advising travelers on 4-wheelers or snow-machines that the bridge is only 46 inches wide.
