The Alaska State Troopers have arrested two Wasilla men accused of multiple burglaries along Oilwell Road in Trapper Creek.
Dale Roetman, 23, and Garrett Davis, 21, were arrested at Roetman’s residence off of Bogard Road, according to trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters. The two are accused of multiple cabin break-ins and the theft of a variety of items, including ATVs, firearms, and tools. Troopers say about $20,000 in property was recovered, and they are now working to return it to the rightful owners.
Megan Peters says locating some of the stolen goods and publication of images from burglarized cabins taken by game cameras helped troopers track down Roetman and Davis. The two men are currently being held on $20,000 bail with a third party custodian requirement. The men would also be barred from returning to the Oilwell Road area if released on bail.
