Su Valley volleyball off to a solid start

The Su-Valley Rams varsity volleyball team got off to an undefeated start in conference play this month. In their first game against Wasilla Lakes on October 6th, Su-Valley won in dominating fashion, winning each set by at least fourteen points. Coach Chad Valentine selected Freshman Trisha Pevan as the player of the match on the team’s MaxPreps page.

On Thursday, the Rams beat Holy Rosary in five sets and Lumen Christi in straight sets.

Over the weekend, Su-Valley traveled to Ninilchik for the school’s annual Spikefest tournament. The Rams went undefeated and won the championship match against Birchwood Christian. Su-Valley team members Ruby Matthews, Gabby Faurot, and Sarena Dorver were named as “all tournament” players.

The Rams’ next home game is Tuesday afternoon against Birchwood.
