The Su-Valley Rams volleyball team continued its winning ways last week.
On Thursday, Su-Valley traveled to Wasilla Lakes, where they defeated the home team, also called the Rams, three sets to none. Junior Gabby Faurot was named the player of the match by coach Chad Valentine. Faurot had seven aces and a perfect hitting percentage in the match.
On Halloween, Su-Valley played two home matches. In non-conference action, the Rams defeated Tri-Valley, holding the visiting team to fewer than ten points per set. Sophomore Hannah Mabry was named player of the match.
The Rams closed out the Halloween week with a conference match against Lumen Christi. Su-Valley won three sets to none, and Senior Robin Spaulding was named player of the match.
The win against Lumen Christi means that the Su-Valley Rams remain undefeated in conference play. The team’s overall record is 19-6-1. Travel to play against Birchwood on Monday was canceled due to icy conditions on the Glenn Highway, according to Coach Valentine. The next home game is scheduled for November 5th against Unalaska.
