Talkeetna’s Derek MacDonald has a considerable chicken operation that produces forty to fifty dozen of eggs that he distributes weekly to local businesses and residents.
KTNA’s Katie Writer recently spoke with Mr. MacDonald, who raises chickens for both meat and eggs, about some tips on raising chickens year round in Alaska.
